I got hold of a book today, and was thinking of this today. There are many members out here who are active everyday, just like me. We know that most of us are using Fiber Connections for Internet and VoIP. And, i think, the fiber is here to be here for eternity.

There are many in-depth stuffs which we don't think about while we talk about Optical Fiber Cable or FTTH or FiberNet for our homes. Just wanted to know if anyone here have a good knowledge about these, and can think about the technicalities when an issue arises in terms about providing or using the Fiber Internet Service. Just asking who all here think in mathematics when it comes to fiber connection, and not just a cable that starts at exchange and ends at your home.

Can we have two users connecting to the FTTH with the same login credentials?
In other words, can two different routers be connected to the same login credentials so that both connect to the same ISP through same Internet.

This is being asked because a decade ago, people used to share their PPPoE login with each other to use their unused quota of internet at other's home. Correct me if i am wrong.
