Goods & Services Tax (GST) Updates

This actually is companies fault. There are two things here.

1) Company is supposed to file GSTR3B to claim "tax credit" every month on their purchases.
2) Deadline for this was 25 October. (20 October) - for year 2017-18
3) If you dont file GSTR3B or forget to claim "tax credit" --- it is obviously companies fault.

I wouldnt blame Government for this. You did have 6 months to claim credit. You didnt take it.

Now comes GSTR 2
1) Your supplier is supposed to mention purchases by you in their GSTR1 return.
2) This gets auto-reflected on your (purchaser's) GSTR2A
3) If its not in GSTR2A then you have opportunity to make addtions to it in GSTR2 (this is not enabled yet)
4) If you still forget to add it to GSTR2 --- you dont get credit.

However since GSTR2 is not yet launched --- Government has not put any deadline to it.

Government has mentioned clearly, so no question of losing credit. So again not Government's fault.

So dont know whats the FUSS about it.
