The deal with twitter expired lately so yeah, we are gonna see more +1'd.I so hope they do something to compete against Twitter.People using +1 are very low right now.Google plus is taking on FB cool enough, but they gotta do something to get more birds on Plus.
people using +1 is low right now because it is not open to all? and twitter is not as popular as it is believed. majority of user generated content is from a small percentage of the users. rest of it is automated stuff. once google +1 gets the apis. it would get the same auto generated stuff. business pages would result in proper communities which would mean more content generation through comments. twitter would be easily overtaken by google+ in terms of activity largely because twitter still is a linear system. and businesses would prefer google+ largely because of SEO benefits. google has this particular advantage that even facebook does not have.
the fact remains that a lot of people would not use it regularly if it is not supported by third party clients like tweetdeck. once third party apps get google plus connectivity, it is likely to see a boost. though for someone like me, it means headache coz i would see same content being posted by people i follow on multiple networks.
+1 is visible since last 15 days in Google Search and when I signed in to Google Plus last week, then its showing list of all the Web Pages I had +1ed since last 15 days. May be +1 integration was done on Chrome Earlier, bcoz I use Chrome .
google has been showcasing tweeted links from my friends (and me) for a while now. google +1 links became prominently visible just recently. but i think this was largely because i was not connected with many people who would use +1... but with google plus, i am connected to a lot of folks here on the forum and that is showing its effect on the search results.
hehe. you missed one important thing. IE is using .co.in google was supposed to have enabled +1 button on localized search engines. apparently they are still not done with it.
