I think I'll just go for the Fonepad 7 (MRP 17499). Weird thing is Asus "launched" that tablet on Oct 29 and ~3000 pcs landed at Bombay alongwith Nexus 7 and yet it's not available. I called one of the ASUS exclusive stores yesterday and he said the distributor had received stock and it should be available today. Today he says the distributor hasn't gotten the stock. I think Asus is letting Nexus 7 get some breathing space for a few days.

Flipkart has a deal on the older fonepad model but I guess you are not interested in that model

Of course they have a deal on the older model. Have to clear as much inventory as they can before they have to drop the price even further after the new model is available.

i was waiting for its 2nd version from 4 months n few weeks earlier google officaily announced that 32gb LTE version will be available for 26k but now has increased its price to 28k similarly for other iterations as well.when will google take indian market seriously

Hilarious pricing. They never wanted to sell the N7 through their stores in India. Till yesterday they were still selling the 2012 model for 16k which was available on Flipkart for 9k

Disappointing. I wanted to get the 32GB wifi only. Its 260$ on Amazon so around ~16k. This is too high. I guess I'll wait a couple of months for someone I know to go to the states. Will wait for the Kindle Fire HDX as well. Has better hardware as well. If CM can be ported to it, will probably get it.

Indian pricing is really disappointing. I just landed up buying from ebay.com, 16gb model @ $206 with tax from adorama. Using Sns to get it shipped to India.
