I think I need to get from US...Just for warranty additional 9000Rs is too much...or I would get the iPad Mini in India itself which is likely to sell at the same price(Rs 20000)
What exactly is the issue with file transfer to the nexus 7? I will probably be buying a nexus 7 32gb from abroad. But before that I want to know more about this file transfer issue. Apparently we cannot copy files directly using the USB port because the partition format is different, is it? I won't root my device immediately. I know there are other modes of transfer like Dropbox, airdroid etc but I would like to learn more about this. So if some nexus 7 user could kindle explain... Thanks.
Basically manufacturers do not allow this or no one would buy a 32 GB version. They would just attach a pen drive to the most basic version available in the market.
If you do not want to root, you can use this Nexus 7 gets USB drive support thanks to new app - Pocket-lint
I havent used it first hand but read that it does the job.

A group of friends finds inspiration close to home and then use their Nexus 7 to turn it into something unforgettable. With a mobile data connection and extra storage Nexus 7 is now even more portable.
