if you are fine with airtel at 100mbps, just get it downgraded to 40mbps for a few days. here in gurgaon, their 40mbps give speeds over 100mbps all the time for some reason. and i think this happens in many other cities as well. others might be able to confirm.

this is airtel 40mbps on pi4 ON VPN.

I am using Airtel 200Mbps plan with Static IP address in bridge mode = 1Gbps speed.

I am using pfSense, AdGuard Home, Unifi controller. Everything is virtualized using Proxmox.

That's because of IPv6. Yeah it happens, I get 700ish download and upload sometimes. But its not consistent. Torrents do not usually support IPv4+IPv6 together, its single-streamed.

I too wanted to try out this static IP glitch, gave it a try, worked for one day and then I opted out of static IP.

Actually my idea is, why get used to 1gbps when I can't afford paying for it? Because all these tricks are not going to remain permanent.
AND when it stops working, 100Mbps will feel nothing as I was used to 1gbps.

i mean unless you are downloading games on a regular basis... or have any specific use for a gigabit connectivity... it does not really matter in the end if you are on 100mbps or 300mbps or 1000mbps.

Hahaha I agree. I never knew about the static IP Glitch. After getting my static IP setup, I called 3 different Airtel technicians to tell that I am getting 1Gbps speed for a 200Mbps plan. They would ask apka internet chal raha hai na Sir. I tried one more time and then left it.

NextDNS feels nice and the resolving speed is also good. Next DNS Mumbai is hosted with Vultr Mumbai. I'll use NextDNS for this month and test it's features.

If you can live with the burden of hitting 300k queries in a month, you are good to go.
For mental peace, I would suggest setting up NextDNS in AdguardHome.

Oh that's a nice idea. I have 2 AdGuard Home VMs. Can I setup two different NextDNS account one for the 1st VM and second for the 2nd VM.
