tried installing it for a contact. as usual, andhara bank did not send back otp. 4.5 rupees wasted on 3 texts for verification.

Mobile verification failed.

I was getting OTP SMSes but even after 5-6 tries, it failed to verify and now it is not even sending sms.

yup. it is failing for a lot of people based on what i am reading on reddit. best is to wait for a few hours. maybe at night.

SBI would join soon. Though not sure how it would change things. Except for an additional VPA you can create through the app.

I think, Tez is app of Axis Bank developed by google.

Google Tez would have a web payment interface. I guess similar to what Flipkart etc. already have for UPI payments.
