Any way to import a Facebook album to Google Plus?
I have an album on Facebook having more than 1200 pics. I don't wish to upload them again. Can I simply copy them from Facebook to Google Plus/Picasa?

There is no official way. There are a bunch of apps and web services that claim to be able to do so. I have not used any of them so cannot really recommend.

Sometimes I wonder whether using 3rd party products for photos is a good idea or not. I'm talking about privacy here.

I expected Google to have a straightforward option to import from Facebook.

Why not Flickr? Photobucket? 500px? MySpace? SmugMug?

Because Picasa/Google Plus photos can be viewed in my phone's gallery.
