i usually keep it off coz pidgin is usually always on.

yes but why add chat feature all over the places? doesnt make sense.

Google Translator Toolkit is a collaboration tool where multiple people can collaborate to translate documents. chat makes perfect sense here. i know a lot of people who chat through GMAIL only. same case for Orkut. so it make sense there as well. (yahoo and hotmail have similar 'features'). now i cannot see a chat box on google search engine or most of their other services. they can surely put a bar at the bottom and connect me to my talk account automatically. youtube for example.

I am also on 1024 mode. if u see, it cuts the year in ur case too. i think it shud wrap the text instead of trimming.

everything was working fine in previous version of VB.. this new version has just little better looks but overall its making things totally uncomfortable.
