i guess this is what we get with css based layouts... multiple lines are not allowed in that field to keep the formatting... why not browse in one font size small on the forum? that might work out? the fonts on linux are pretty big already. in times like these... i wish firefox had opera era technology.

i reduced the font size (using ctrl-minus two times).now this is strange and surprising.looks like firefox stores per website font options.i closed the browser and started it again. and now its showing full column (reduced font size) on this site and on other sites font is still original size.earlier i thought that now everytime i will have to press ctrl-minus but its not so.so anyway problem solved.

weird. opera does not remember font size settings on restarting... it only uses the font settings on new tabs that are opened from the tab where settings are different from default.

i tried searching for a fit to width extension/userscript for firefox. could not find any... firefox should have gained something similar now that fennec is out in RC edition.
