can anyone tell me what is this? I am torrenting heavily this month. Is the mail because of this?

Previously, I used openwrt with stubby for DoT configured with Cloudflare. Maybe because they could not track my activity and the changed TLS packet pattern detected by their DPI triggered the false alarm.

In that case, they would have simply blocked DoT ports if they didn't want us using it. The mail is probably due to your high bandwidth usage. Or your router got infected since they say Mirai Malware which infects Linux based devices.

They have data cap of 3.3TB and I used 50%of that. So, High usage should not be an issue. But as I said earlier I was torrenting heavily and they detected outgoing traffic to a large number of IPs and different ports. So, it is quite possible their system detected it as a part of DDos.

I read in discord from a bsnl broadband user who also received this email, so he contacted them. BSNL said that this email is being to everyone using bsnl broadband. But I don't know whether it is true or not that this email is being sent to all bsnl broadband users.

This is ironic coming from BSNL.

I found out 2 days back that BSNL PON firmware has packages which are 15 years old. There are several vulnerabilities reported for the said packages. And since the same firmware is used for all branded PONs I'm sure all consumer end devices have this issue.

How and where do I report this?
