Hathway Broadband launches Docsis 3.0 Ultra High speed network

I'm waiting for the rep from hathway to come by and collect documents/payment etc. I have not received a call or anything from them. When I do call their sales dept up, they tell me they've transferred the case to the engineer who will contact me.
Anyone has a number I can call on to follow this up? (Normal Sales/Broadband lines are practically useless)

Isn't an engineer supposed to come home and carry out some kind of a feasibility study. They have already confirmed that the service is available in my building, but I think he will need to take a look at the cabling etc.

Guys i am trying to find the best modem for 50 mbps plan( avalaible by hathway) i play online FPS game a lot so i need a modem that will give least latency (ping/lagg) & also it shouldn't get heated up after few hours of use
(generally most modems gets heated after few hours & gets really laggy) issed-off: issed-off: issed-off: :russianroulette: :russianroulette: :russianroulette:
so i know these 2 modems are available
1) Thomson TCM 471
2) Cisco DPC3008
if any body got a different modem plz inform us about it.

Cable installer will come first, install the cable then same or next day engineer will come with the dabbas and install and start it.

I am using the Thomson TCM 471 that Hathway gave me. I haven't had any problem on overheating or reduction in ping. But I must add that I am not a very heavy user so I might not be pushing the modem to the limit to really know what happens in such situations.

If you have the cable operator already providing Hathway in your building, then feasibility is a mere formality.
I too had to go to Hathway's office in Lower Parel to get them to give me Docsis. But they are very helpful and did stuff quite fast. I know exactly how you feel ...
