Sim isn't the issue. Dongle is.

So, again, if you don't mind spending 800-1000 bucks in buying the dongle and experimenting. Go for an unlocked CDMA dongle.

Have read the reports 2-3 days back of the Reliance CDMA(Evdo) plans being revised from Unlimited to Fup Based ones, might wanna search for - Reliance revises Unlimited’ Netconnect+ prepaid plans, not sure about postpaid though. So you might wanna confirm from somewhere - retailer/CC before investing in a dongle as after revision the FUP will be same 10/20 GB. Hence suggest checking this first.

Also MTNL 3G gives 1 GB data for 76rs(1week), I would suggest you to check 3G speeds at different times while pc tethering for 2-3 days to get an idea of speed at different times of the day, don't only rely on speedtest. Usually its congested in the late evening hours till midnight, still trying is the best way before investing 1650 for plan and nearly the same for dongle.

I am using the 1650 plan with the Huawei E8231 (Gsm dongle) but its on Bsnl 3G network, downloads are great, while uploads sucks at times & here is what I'm able to pull off most of the times while downloading.

Reliance netconnect plans have been revised. Ruim based evdo plans are still the same.

Comparison of speeds at my location in Gurgaon:

Still checking out all possibilities. Understand the Truly Unlimited isn't available in Delhi.... But the 40GB one. Can anyone shed some light on it???
