How do I configure TP-LINK TD-8817 for Airtel Broadband?

The guy said that it was Rs. 500 before like the ad above indicates but the prices were increased recently. Maybe I should have applied through the website instead of calling the local agent

I paid through cheque. And I got that pink colored document that they give. No specific receipt though.

it does not seem to include the figure. in any case i cut a crossed cheque in the name of company so that should be fine right?

Airtel does MAC binding with the router WTF.

So only one device can be used with it?

Apparently it's just for verification that installation has been done. Dude told me that I can now use my own router. Verification was done with the bundled router.

Would find out when I get bsnl connection disconnected. For now planning to use the D-Link modem.

Got in touch with Airtel people. They confirmed that new connection charges are now Rs. 1000.
