Hi all,I have a BSNL wifi modem earlier I use to dial to connect to internet so every time I disconnected & reconnected my IP use to change (People using Filehosting services might know the importance of IP change) Now the problem is that I have installed WIFI modem which is always on mode, is there any way that I can disconnect & reconnect my WIFI modem resulting in new IP ?Or should I try bridge connection ? (But what i understand in Bridge connection I cannot only connect 1 Laptop at a time)Please advise

IF YOU HAVE A STATIC ip then it won't change

otherwise if dynamic just restart your router

Yes i have a dynamic IP

But how to restart the router ?

Do I need to manually restart it or is there some commands to do so?

just hit the restart button at te back of the router and then turn it back on

or take out the power and then pug it back in

check your IP first and then again after changing here

Ya I know that but to do it we need to physically be near the modem is their any command that could disconnect & reconnect the net giving us a new IP

the operators can do it from their stations

from where do you want to do it from?

Yes, you can. You need to login to your wireless router using any compatible browser. & find reboot button.
