How to check Balance in Mobile Partner

Is there a way to check balance from Mobile Partner i am using Ver.16...If so, please tell me step by step so that i can try it....

Which data card you are using?

In the Mobile Partner installation folder (e.g, C:\Program Files\Mobile Partner), there is a XML file called DeviceInfo.xml. Open it with notepad or any editor.

Search for . Inside this tag add ur data card brand (e.g. ) and save it. Now open the Mobile partner and connect to the n/w. Click USSD and give the short text for balance check (e.g, *123#) and send.

these are the codes i found online

it the mobile partner facility to check balance mate. if your mobile partner has USSD option you can send eg:*123# like commands.
Other wise you cant check it.
Latest mobile partner has this option.
If your mobile partner dosent have this option plzzz update.

I am using Windows 7 in my Laptop and XP on desktop. I tried the tips above. But it did not work.Msg come-"Recieve Failed". Now what to do?
