How to check BSNL Broadband Account Usage?

Well, I had started similar thread on getting the connection (can't check usage etc., I have literally exhausted all options), and I can confirm that as of today:No matter *WHAT* I do, I still cannot check usage. The BSNL people, local or 1800 etc cannot help. My IP is also 117.x.x.xFrankly, if I get a bill for overusage, I am going to consumer court. This has been very poor and unprofessional behavior on BSNL's part. Seems like there is no solution, the BSNL people even ridicule me and deny there is any problem telling me I must be doing something wrong and I am at mercy of these jokers.

The problem is with new Dataone users with IP starting . 117.xx.xx.xx
 
Sankalpit - dude we all are facing what you are !! lets hope that we'll get some methods working somehow! till then keep in touch ! Essbee... and others - DO i just need to RESTART my modem at 2oclock for Night Unlimited OR do i have to manually SWITCH IT OFF (and wait for some time) and then SWITCH IT ON AGAIN ?? normally i restart my modem from my laptop by going to 192.168.1.1 and then restarting it! - is it OK to restart it that way . ??

Hajaar thanks for taking time out to help. I will keep trying. Also I actually searched for 'ethernet monitor' on web and couldn't find good/functional products, and the risk of accidently installing spyware/malware was also there.

I will definitely try the watchWAN and Tautology programs that you have mentioned.

I searched for railtel it seems some government PSU type company? Could Railtel be causing problem for Dataone?
My ISP is both BSNL Dataone and BSNL Netone CLI type service (where Dataone is not available).

The worst part is we cannot even change our passwords! The BSNL people are so funny, one said don't worry be happy just use the account, if you can connect to internet then passwords etc do not matter.

However, today I got 'partial signal' that some people at BSNL have started to become aware that there might be some issue. Let us hope this gets fixed quickly!

Either method should be fine. Also, I wait 0215 to re-start and re-boot, and disconnect by 0745 just to be safe. Don't want to get shocking bills.

I set my time according to the portal clock, although I did not get any information about this from BSNL, I just filled the form and registered on my own.


I actually have two different user IDs, but can connect to internet with only one, and to portal with the other.

Once inside, I can only see option for Editing profile information, My Orders, and of course the current time. No account usage....

PS: I just created a second ID at that portal (SIgn Up). So now I have three BSNL "identities". This is silly.
 
hello, dataoneroxxx Me From Indore,MP is a new dataone user.The same proble is occuring with me too.I am unable see my usage. Me too is told to use the IP 10.240.240.195But it's not responding. even no login page is yet opened where i can test for my username & password validity. Also I have already tried all the above suggestions, have used the dataone.bsnl.in also. but didn't work. So, Let me know how can i see my usage. yar... almost 20 days is going to complete now. but the usage is yet to be observed.It sucks.:madness::madness:
 
GOT IT GUYS !!! i have got hold of my PORTAL ID and PASSWORD !!!
I just called my local BSNL guys !!!. the guy took my phone number and after 1-2 minutes gave me my PORTAL ID and password !!!
we all have a special center/office/room at the local bsnl office which specialises in dataone, all we need to do is get in touch with them !! they know everything !! .... from when the server is working or not working and why(bcos its they who do the server maintainence) to what is the correct time of bsnl server !!everything! coz unlike other 1500 and 1800-424-1600 CC guys, these people are pro-computer/networking guys !!
ALL MY stressed new dataone users have to do now is get hold of the TELEPHONE number(or visit them) of these guys at your local BSNL office !!!
