Nope. It's not broken. The screenshot posted by me asking for Google ID and pwd is from the latest version of iTunes i.e. 10.7.0.21

hehe. i have sent him the details. poor chap is feeling overwhelmed with all the mess. i hope he does not give up and move back to the iPhone. :\
