@socrates Yes it did, I checked my bank statement and also the BHIM UPI app transaction, it was successful, there is no reversal until now, just in case if it failed, so yes the payment did go through.

@mikrotik Actually I didn't receive any tracking number from uidai. I got an SMS from Indian post about the article when it was in the nearest post office. At first I was clueless what article is this then I remembered.

I didn't get any number or any other form of intimation. I only knew it comes by speed post & it did. Also it could be made anywhere in the country not necessarily the closest manufacturing outlet.

If the failure was QC then they could have got it printed again
Looks like this is happening a lot these days. Saw a video on youtube about this error started occurring recently.

UIDAI suspends these services related to Aadhaar Card: Check details

According to the report, UIDAI has stopped the facility of updating addresses in the Aadhaar Card through the validation letter. As per the information given by UIDAI, the facility of address validation letter has been discontinued till further orders.

Was helping some relatives with ordering their PVC Aadhar. Three went thru smoothly, payment for 2 were netbanking & one via UPI. The fourth one went thru but after the payment was made successfully it just auto logged out, so I could not download the receipt. We dont even know if it was successful at the UIDAI end. Though the site looks refreshed, it still retains its old tricks which we all faced in the last two years
