i read the same trick for speeding up hdds..... where u just have to enter ur HDD irq no. instead of the nic irq. so i dont think it really works! :S

Well i have connected my adsl modem using a Ethernet connection and not USB connection

dont try to use tricks with your net, if you dont know, wrong settings can cause less speed,

I saw many tips for INCREASING SPEED OF BROADBAND but it all about USB,but in my case im not using any USB,its a LAN CARD,DIRECTLY ATTACH WITH MY MODEM,and i m using TYPE 2 Modem of DATAONE (SL2-141)ADSL MODEM,so cud anyone tell mee,is there any process by which i can increase my BROANDBAND SPEED ,more importantly my DOWNLOADING SPEED,i use TORRENT for downloading as well as FREE DOWNLOADER & DAP,but in all i only get 25-30 KB/s speed for downloading,and my internet speed is also not constant,wenever i chek in www.dataone.in website my internet speed is around 100 t0 200 KB/s.i need download speed more than BROWISING speed,so Please tell meee any process by which i can increase the downloading speed.

Lemme check it out... Pretty mixed reactions about its working. BTW, I have exper. increase in downloading speed by around 5 kbps using Open DNS.
