How to sideload apps on Reliance Jio Fiber Android set-top box?

Got my STB today, tried to install jio tv apk but it seems like the box is locked or whatever i am not able to enable the "unknown sources" thing in the settings.

Welcome to the Club we can't install or sideload apps now

Even I got the connection last week

And it's high time Jio launches Android certified set top box like Airtel Xstream Box

I know licensing from Google is expensive....but I think they can charge us like Airtel

However jio is charging monthly rental in plan itself so....

@NARUTO7 I already have Fire Stick so I guess that would be better.
Jio STB can be used for some premium content which is bundled.
For everything else Fire Stick is a better option

One can easily access all the premium contents of Airtel Xstream app through Jio pages by login from any Airtel no. Airtel Xstream STB basic plan is Rs. 500 more than that of Jio fiber STB basic plan. In my opinion, Jio fiber is way better choice considering Amazon Prime and Netflix apps will going to be added in near future.

I will connect the set top box only after Netflix and Prime Video apps are bunged in. Till then I'll continue to use my Chromecast.

any way to sideload apps after update? because jio team updated my box.

Sideloading can be done through specific apps only, but only when if you had installed those apps before they removed App Installer.
