Well next time do think twice :P , you are not able to use it since you didnt knew the limitations.Told you to get asha 302 or any other asha device :P

I spent 13k on a smartphone.I am not saying am disappointed, did I? Cuz I know even Windows Phone 8X cannot fulfill my requirements. There is a reason I personally own Galaxy Note, that is actually a Smartphone, not some Overhauled PR Bullshit.

Well, I own what I need.I have something for someone who doesn't need as much as I need. That rocks my boat.

I sent a music file from my PC via email and accessed it on my phone.

Phone gives me no option to save it locally to some directly or some folder,
every time you need to access the file, you have to go the email and open that.

I have not checked sending any other file as an attachment or something, if you want I can try and let you know.

There are two options to play music, first one is Zune and the second is Nokia Music, no equalizer in either one of them.

Beats should have it's own media player with advanced options though.

Every Time, you want to transfer music to your phone, you have to use Zune.

Phone doesn't lag at all, but I don't know if I have something interesting to do on it to put it under some pressure in the first place.

Let me know if you want to know about something specific, I cared less about the device and its still laying in the box.

Ok gr8 ..
Can u try saving some other file from email .. Let us know if tht works ..

So they have basically made it like iPhone for music ..
Also if u can confirm wht all video format does it support and if we can save/download video files from some direct link ..
And their app store .. Do they have all the regular apps like whatsapp, youtube, google map etc?

google maps on windows phone? nope.
youtube on windows phone? nope
whatsapp? should be there.

from what i know, google does not have any official app on the windows platform until now. might change with wp8. Nokia had a blog post showcasing some third party youtube apps (one of them was actually paid!).

here is the post about youtube apps on windows phone platform. lumia does have nokia maps which would be available on all wp8 devices. they are supposed to be very good for india.

There is some app that opens YouTube videos :| I guess that's not the official app.I wish I could post some ScreenShots, that is one more limitation. All other recreational apps are paid.I was actually watching a movie, when I got the ping :DGive me some time I will let you know what all Email thing is upto.

youtube app!

this is from the Nokia blog post.

There is an official YouTube app in the Windows Phone Marketplace for your Nokia Lumia but it is little more than a link to the mobile web version of YouTube. It works well enough and it’s fine for watching videos but it’s just not very exciting, is it?

For music and videos, if you get via email, it just can be accessed if you open the email manually, in the native email application at least.

Rest, image files and other document files like .xls and etc can be loaded.

You basically have to use Zune to update your multimedia files.

You cannot really compare the number of applications to android or app store, but still its okay,
you will get the most famous apps, for a nominal amount.

If you are coming from iOS chances are you are gonna like it as it doesn't lag or anything, works smooth :D
