all honda needs to do is launch diesel engines for all their cars. i believe i read somewhere that more than 70% of the i20's sold are diesel models.the new sonata is gorgeous but doesnt have a diesel engine. I don't think it will sell much. USA is one of the few markets where its almost a petrol monopoly because of low taxes and very strict diesel emission norms.Toyota could have been a good contender in the small car segment if they had launched one of their global models(like Aygo) which topped the JD Power survey last year. instead they launch the half baked "made for india" Liva.

Elantra has the same diesel as the Verna
