So the match has been abandoned and the points are shared. NZ are now with 3 points, Aus 1. @mhsabir : what are the chances for Aus to qualify to semis? Who else in that group has chances?

Sorry was busy, so just saw your post vicky. So here goes.
a) SL - Need to win both their remaining games against Eng, Aus. Loose 1 game and they are out.
b )Eng - Need to win any one game against SL or NZ. Loose both games to exit
c) Aus - Must win game against SL, Otherwise out. Even a win means 100% not sure qualify. (see below)
d) NZ - If they beat Eng, they qualify, if they loose they may still qualify (see below)
If Aus beat SL and Eng beat NZ (Eng v SL is immaterial for this) , we have a 2-way tie between Aus-NZ and NRR will decide ( Eng qualify , SL out)
if Aus beat SL, SL & NZ both beat Eng - Referring a. & b. - Eng & SL are out. Aus, NZ qualify
If Eng beat SL and SL beat Aus (NZ v Eng is immaterial for this) - Referring a. & c. SL & Aus are out. Eng, NZ qualify.

And finally, more matches rained out changes a few things. I have not accounted for that now.

Hotspot itself has been controversy over inaccuracy a couple of times. And being an expensive technology, ICC & the boards have been trying to shift the onus of cost to one another, especially the boards which are less financially stable.

HoHo, so SA finally got the better side of the d/l system in ICC events for the first time.
They miraculously escaped if pollard was not out on the last ball before rain, SA would had been eliminated.
