But still we lost tht match ;)
Yes, I think it was Brendon McCullum who took the game away from us. Nonetheless, that was a terrific start to an away tour. He announced himself, and the best thing was that there were no practice games. Straight into the international game and bang bang bang. :D

After Pakistan won the series against SA, I thought India wud easily win the series against SA (Only Odis). Yesterday's was good batting pitch. But chasing 350+ is only possible in India. SA should drop tsotsobe and play philander, it will be more difficult for India to score.Afriki dharati par jamkar shikaar hoga.

Were a bunch of club cricketers playing yesterday?
Anyways, the way this series has started whitewash is likely both in ODI & test series. That's my prediction.

Very bad performance by Indian Bowlers. Batsman played as expected :)
Time up for Yuvraj and Raina. Let these 2 play Domestic games for couple of years.

Yuvraj will be be 35 after 2 yrs. :D
Yuvi looks a pale shadow of himself. last odi in india where he attempted the catch with one hand said all. he's neither fielding good like his heydays neither batting.
i guess cancer took a toll on him to play professional sports at international level.

Like Ganguly & Sachin, its really painful to watch Sehwag & Yuvraj play. All were fantastic players, sad to see things going downhill. Atleast Sachin was fine tlil late 30s - others the problems seem to have started in early 30s itself.

Its good that India lost a match, will come better after this match.I think South Africa missed a trick. The Indian team do not have any match practice in these conditions and as like any home country they would never expose the strengths to the opposition.India might lose the ODI series but will be very well prepared for the test series having played 6 Bowlers in the ODI series.

Sehwag used to rely very heavily on his hand to eye co-ordination to hit the ball. he was never a technically sound batsman, so in his younger days he could easily spot the ball and smack it. which became a problem when his reflexes started to slow down.
As for yuvi he's still 32, about dhoni's age. after WC and his cancer the form went down.

Look at Rohit Sharma was he able to spot the ball when steyn bowled 2 maidens to him and first runs for him was a leading edge. These batsmen need to have a technique to play against quality attack.
