I have an MTNL DSL-399 plan , my router is D-Link ADSL 2640 T. My ADSL light fluctuates after every few minutes leading to frequent disconnections. Is there any solution ? I tried restarting router many times but still the problem continued.

1. Post your SNR and attenuation values.2. Try changing the mode to Gdmt and check.

1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

2. ID and password as admin.

3. You can find the values on the landing page. If no, try the " stats " from the LHS menu.

On the router home page itself, you can find SNR and attenuation values. If not, look for " Summary " or " ADSL stats " in the left hand side menu where there are many options listed. If in doubt, post the screen shot of router home page.

The ADSL stats are -Transmit
Tx PDU's 23885
Tx Total Bytes 5369085
Tx Total Error Counts 0

Receive Rx PDU's 26925
Rx Total Bytes 22335338
Rx Total Error Counts 118
Tx Total Bytes 5369085
Tx Total Error Counts 0

We need SNR and Attenuation values. In different modems they are under different pages like " summary ", " ADSL stats " etc. Check in your modem and try to locate the SNR and attenuation values.
