1.Do you have a CD or manual for the modem ?
2.Download this program and check the hardware connected to your computer.

Check whether there is an ethernet card in your computer.
3. Easier method is to check in Device Manager.

OK. if interested try to get one locally or by post from India thru your friend/s ( try e bay.in. Cost around Rupees Rs 250/= for a desktop computer. a standby option/connection is advisable.

Im having problems regarding port forwarding in utorrentgetting speeds of only 13 kbps though speed test reveals speeds of about 500kbps

you first need to portforward Port Forwarding for the Siemens SL2-141 .. then ensure that you open port in windows firewall. then enter the same port number in utorrent options->preferences

no problem you can change back to 192.168.1.1, just loginusing 192.168.1.2 then change what you changed earlier to 192.168.1.1.then next time you can login using 192.168.1.1

PF as suggested by @superprash 2003 should be same for this model also.
You cannot PF if you use Wanminiport Dialer to connect to Internet.
