Is airtel blocking p2p ?

Hello Everyone, I am using airtel broadband for long time. (I have a 2 MBPS connection). Sometimes I use limewire to download some music. Lately I formatted my hdd and reinstalled limewire. Now when i start it gets stuck in starting connection. I checked firewall and it is allowing limewire. And I don't have any such software that should block it. Previously it used to work. What can I do? Is airtel blocking limewire.?? Help will be appreciated. Thanks,GR

i am not sure about limewire. i stay away from it. to check p2p... try out azureus and download the latest ubuntu iso to check speeds.

I dunno why limewire had issues. I uninstalled Limewire and downloaded frostwire (an application identical to limewire) and that worked.

Just check the port setting in limewire and check if that port is allowed in airtel page or router. airtel doesnot block p2p watsoever.. :thumbsup:

Airtel Broadband cannot block access to any of the sites..if any of the user notices this should complain at the Customer Care.

The problem appeared after you formatted the HDD.
After formatting the Harddisk, did you update your OS ( If XP) ?
