from what i have seen people on reliance 1mbps plans are getting half of that as upload speeds.

airtel tends to give 1mbps upload on 1mbps plan.

i get same speed on uploads with 1 mbps in my reliance connection as i do with downloads . the speeds for 1mpbs are about 110- 120kbps while uploading/downloading ..

however im facing a weird issue since last 3 nights with ril broadband . my connection stops working at 1am - 2am and starts again next morning by 8-9am . anyone else facing this issue ??

WOW! Just look at those ping times, man! :O
Looks like Reliance has pretty good routing that results in lower ping times!

Do you use RS/HF/MU premium? If yes, then what speed do you get while downloading from these sites?

Yes Chaitanya the routing and peering for reliance is really good even better than Airtel IMHO I guess its due to the fact that Reliance owns FLAG.

Sorry I dont use RS but from my limited testing with quite a few CDN and servers based in the US the speeds are very good and the pings a lot better than other big ISP's, I just doesn't matter if the server is in India or US the speeds are snappy all the time :)

I am not using it at night in recent times....i used to do that during September to November.....and at that time, there werent any issues....
I think u better call up the CC & know the reasons to get it rectified.....
I dont have any idea of this, but may be others may help u - if not, then CC is the best option.

And their CC is fairly decent, they should solve it on time.....

Btw, do let me know the cause of this issue & how it was solved.....coz if i (or others) face it, this can be helpful!!

I am too looking for a Reliance broadband connection. Have placed a request on their website. This will replace my BSNL broadband conn.

^^^^Better go the CC way....they will send a guy to ur place sooner. It is my experience.

Damn good Pings to Us Servers!
Beam broadband pings are worse to us servers:(
Btw still have the beam connection or kickd it?

I am no longer using Beam the problem was the speeds to the US servers was very in-consistent and 80% of the sites that I visit are based in the US.

Good choice by the way... I am also now planning to take reliance and use it unless and until it has Unlimited packages without FUP

yeah go for Reliance WireLine or WiMax both are awesome and don't forget to get Static IP.
