a question guys, is it necessary to take the phone connection with the 1099 1mbps unlimited plan? im considering shifting to reliance aswell.

yes....dont worry...lock all the outgoing calls & use it only for incoming. With the phone calling other landline/CC saves you some money (Rs.50 call worth . i.e., 100 mins to landline/mobile)

check this on a 1mbos day and 2mbps night connection :-

[/COLOR]i think this takes into consideration downloads and uploads ..

i'm not aware that u have a reliance broadband. Why dont all of u guys just post the speedtest results as your signature? Dont you want others to know what u r having?

I am thinking what if reliance too gets the FUP thing, then what :P
always find an alternate even if ur good (both in job & broadband)....enjoy the present day

ok hope it would be FUP free always. wish i can spam the airtel office which is in front of my office in delhi with reliance plans :irock::irock:

I dont see any harm, until u are sharing in good ratio.
The plan itself says that u can download as much as u want - without any FUP, and u r paying for it as well.......so i dont see any harm!! Carry on - and hope that you keep similar share ratios!!
I always make sure to share 1:1 for most wanted files. For rare files with 2-5 seeders my upload ratio would be more than 10

Just curious guys, what all are you downloading. My 500 GB hard disk and 1 TB external have both filled up so nothing to download for me. As my monitor is just 19", not interested in HD video as well.BTW great to see ppl maintaining 1:1 ratio in torrents!

I have 250 GB + 160 GB HDD. I always used to back up the files using Dual layer DVD(8.5 GB). I download normal (700-1400 MB) size movies & Games. My recent download is GTA 4 (13 GB). No porn movies...only mms scandals(1MB-40MB) hardly comes around 500 MB/month. My upload bandwidth is more or less(i always leave it to unlimited) equal to download. That's why the total GB counts more usage.
