Now fed up so normally just fill the good ones onto an E-HD & rest get deleted after watching... ... BTW the Rs 749 from reliance looks very nice & good VFM... The 1mbps plan is Rs100 more than the MTNL one but I guess thats ok for some ppl... For heavy Downloaders the Rs 1499 1Mbps day & 2Mbps night plan looks Imba :D ... As for me I will be sticking to the MTNL 1Mbps plan for Rs 999 :) ...

Save the best, trash the rest is the policy for movies. I can save upto Rs.400 on choosing the Rs.749 Day/Night 600 kbps/1mbps. I return home after work by 9 pm so 1 mbps is a waste for me in the day time.

A friend of mine who is not(thought so) a heavy downloader has 512 kbps UL BSNL. When i checked the usage of his for the last 30 days it easily reached 100 GB. He too maintains 1:1 sharing ratio on my suggestion. So guys, keep a track on your usage. You will be surprised that you can achieve 100 GB/month easily on a 512 kbps UL plan

This can be achieved only when u keep the desktop/pc always on. The hardware will crumble soon unless it is a server!

I do not burn DVDs - as even i fear them getting deteriorated. But i dont feel constrained, since i am on a measly 300kbits/s connection, and have a 1 TB HDD.......My total Download since last July or so is round about 350 GB.......and that - is a very generous figure i am quoting - may be less than that.

I m unaware of that......there are a few techies here who can help u out on that!!Keep bumping, until u get reply!!

Well I figured it out last night without anybody's help, the most important thing is to copy the PC's mac id and paste in the Netgear router settings :wewin:

@raj2007 - which area are you from. I had a wired landline from Reliance before & they were calling me to have broadband as early in 2008 itself so I think feasibility will be there, but want to know area so that I will get an idea about performance in my area (I had shifted from Hathway Internet + Reliance Landline to Airtel Landline + Internet , I am near Anna Nagar)
