Hello everyone,

Moving to Hyderabad and need a good ISP suggestion. I'm a heavy internet user - I work primarily from home and need really good download & upload speeds for both work and recreation. Also, because of work reasons, I cannot afford any downtimes or connectivity issues. So, my ideal ISP should provide good speeds (ideally without any FUP jazz), stable connectivity with responsive customer service.

I hear Airtel might fill the bill, so I've filled up their form online. My landlord is using ACT as their ISP - they seem to be a popular choice in the area (Rd no 10), in fact. How's their connectivity and customer service?

Before Hyderabad, I was in Kolkata and had a great experience with Alliance Broadband. Is there an equivalent ISP in Hyderabad?

Thanks for reading, and I'm looking forward to your thoughts and suggestions.

1:Airtel
2:ACT Fibernet
3:YOU Broadband

4:Excitel
apart from these broadband providers
there are other players like excell broadband
Pioneer broadband which many gave good reviews so should bee your first option than others when available
do not go for Hathway

Thanks for your replies, everyone.

Looks like Airtel may not be feasible in my area as I just recd a text message from them to that effect. It's a bit disappointing as I know they have responsive customer service generally (my parents have Airtel Broadband).

Anyway, will try my luck with ACT now. But thinking of getting a backup connection as well, so will look into some others as well.

Any recommendations for an efficient dongle connections, for example? Any good deals on offer you're aware of?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I'm having a real problem getting a new connection right now due to the Coronavirus thing. Can't get through to anyone at ACT - called two helpline numbers but nothing, Main office on Banajara hills is closed.

Don't know what I'm going to do. Thinking of getting a dongle now to get started. Not sure if even that is possible at the moment :(
