LeEco Le 1s

I got Le Max 2 from Flipkart. The phone itself is fine, but it cannot make VoLTE calls on JIO network. Flipkart denied return. They are simply looking for reasons to deny refund. It's bye bye flopkart.

I used to visit them, but as they are just collection center, phone was sent to Le Eco main repair center, and all they do is to give me a next week date.

What Le Eco and other small companies have done is, appointed hundreds of small service or even shops, who just keep the ROM o the phone, in most software issues, a phone reset or ROM flashing would be sufficient to fix issues on customer mobiles.

and to everyone's surprise, when there is a hardware fault, they just keep your mobile, and then ask the main center to collect it.
the center which took your phone, is not the actual place where repair would be done.
and this is where you would regret buying that stupid phone.

so publishing a statement that we have 500+ service center is just for software issues, which any android savvy can do at home.
what would matter more is to have more centers who would handle the hardware issues, but in most low cost companies they don't give spares to each such small center, they ask them to send phone to main center.

I've seen micromax taking 2 months for a mic replacement in phone.

Le 1s comes with QC 2.0 and as per it's charger specifications it charges at 2.4A @ 5V. So I assume the phone will not be able to pull more than 2.4A current on 5V hence technically any cable/charger should work fine. The problem arises when a device is capable of pulling 3A or more and if you use a USB-C non-compliant cable. In this case the phone will try to pull 3A from a 2A charger which might result in a blown charger and/or damaged USB-C port.

I would still invest in a safer and USB-C compliant accessories though.

after around 85 days of torture, finally got my Le 1s after repairs, they say to have replaced the motherboard with a new one, but they couldn't transfer the IMEI number and have issued a new pair.
and gave me a copy of service request mentioning IMEI was changed due to repair.

hope this phone runs for a few months now [emoji5]

Leeco phones have serious quality issues. Everybody is telling horror stories about its fingerprint sensor even in premium phone like lemax 2.
