Can i use micromax mmx 400r as usb data card? i mean for pc which does not have wifi.

Hi guysI have purchased this device recently and i am facing some issues:-1)Sometimes even after switchin on the device , there is no wifi signal which is generated(happens one out of 5 times) and the device lights gets stuck which means no matter how much i press the power on off button, it doesnt switch off(So have to remove the battery and start). Since wifi doesnt come, have to press the reset button.2)Sometimes No internet access comes when i try connecting it to my laptop via wifi. Then i have to switch it on and off for it to work.3)Major problem as of now is the lights get switched on and get into a hang mode from which nothing can be done other than removing the battery.Though 3 out of 5 times it works properly, the rest 2 times i face a lot of problems.Kindly let me know if anyone is facing similar issues and how have they dealt with it.Thanks
@komalmeena: Its one bugging issue that they have created. God only knows why they keep on sending the micromax page, but it’s as irritating for me as for you!! Hope they may get a firmware update for this- are you listening micromax?@HCL42- Im using it with my playbook, BB phone, Ipad everything. Works fine. In effect, it’s just a wifi router, so all wifi devices should work on it.@anuragbansal23: yes, no problem. Just install the software on your pc/lappy. You just have to double click on the micromax icon on the desktop whenever you connect it, and it works fine.@apgupta1991: Even I had very similar issues initially after purchasing, and thought what’s going on! I suggest you use it for 15-20 days, and hopefully you’ll get used to it and experienced enough to understand what happens, and when. I had similar issues, but then came to terms with it after using it for some days. I think Micromax has complicated things for a simple to use device. I still have the same issue which I had earlier- cannot use the internet if I have the SD Card inserted in it. The router just does not transfer internet data to any devices. After removing the SD Card it works fine again. Does anyone have similar issues, or tried using it with the SD Card inserted in it?

What do you mean by power button 2 times, the modem reconnects the network. When we switch the device on it is automatically connected right?. Also many a times when the lights switch on, they hang and then nothing happens. I need to take out the battery then. Kindly assist with the same

Problems #1) and #3) seem to indicate a faulty device. I don't have any such problem. You may want to get it replaced under warranty.
As for problem #2), I have also recently started getting this a fair amount. Not sure why. One solution is to restart it, as you said. The quicker solution is to keep the wireless connected and go to 192.168.1.1 and click on disconnect and then connect. This process takes 20 seconds and is quicker than restarting it.
The other thing I have noticed is that the best practice is to switch it on before connecting the USB (which you would do in case you want the device to charge while using it). Then let it boot up and connect to the 3G network, which will be indicated by a ebbing blue light. Then connect it to USB. Connecting it in the middle can lead it to get confused.
