Micromax MMX 400R MiFi Router Review and INSTALLATION .

let me know feedback.i am planning to get this or otherwise thinking of getting new akai smartbox because i already have Reliance netconnect and i can plug in that and can use TV and also use other devices. also in another thread you mentioned fonograph did you make up that word? becuase in google i can get phonograph and it has different meaning.
 
Yeah sure.. By the time you can go through this thread, most of the participants own it and have posted their opinion. Lol.. fonograph..Just goto that thread I have replied.

I had the same problem.Follow the below steps I think the problem will be solved.
Connect the Micromax 400r to a PC or Laptop.Then go to http:\\http://192.168.1.1, preferably via Internet explorer. Over there you will get a option to Disconnect.Then go to Advanced settings (Top Right).Then the "Internet" Tab-> Then "Network Settings".Over there select 3G and "Save" it.Then come back to "Overview" page and click connect.

I have recent bought this mifi router. I have vodafone 3g sim. activated 3g plan.
When i start router it switches on only Green light for signal which means connected to 2G.
Event in its setting page it shows 'E' which means its EDGE and not 3G.

What is the issue ? I insert sim into phone (Nokia N70) it shows 3G symbol.

Got my device today.. Setup is easy and simple, even normal user can understand advance settings. Ah! Silver white color looks great. :D
 
Hi my query is...We are getting this Vodafone 3G data card dongle free if we take the 3G post paid plan in our organization...Can I use the sim which is provided in the Vodafone data card in the Micromax MiFi....Because I have heard that Vodafone data card sim will not work, they are device locked and only work with the particular dongle. Can anyone clarify this.If it works then great coz with dongle sim we get 6 GB of data download and I will have Dongle and MiFi also which ever I want I can use else I need to buy special 3G sim.

Hi, we all know that there are devices which are sim locked, but you seem to be asking if a SIM is device locked. Havent heard about this before. In other words, I beleive that the Vodafone device that you get free with the sim will be locked only for vodafone, but you should be able to use the sim with any other device. Still, too be absolutely sure, I suggest you buy the vodafone sim, and first try it in any device (Dongle or mobile) other than Vodafone sticks. If it works, it will work in Micromax as well. Though I really feel it should work.
