Can anybody tell me, how much maximum memory size of microSD that can be accepted by this device? I plan to add 64GB - but nowhere in the site it says what is the limit.So far my impression with the device is great! some facts1. The memory can be made as a cloud storage - both via USB or WIFI (somewhere earlier in this forum I saw that you can access memory only through USB - that is NOT correct. There is an option via Admin control where you can swtich that). Strange thing however, is there is NO dual option - Memory is only USB available OR WIFI. But I am struggling to find out what is the limit?2. I get complete 7.2 mbps connection. So no qualms about the speed. 3. There is no "N" band - however, this is a MIFI router to get you an internet connection - not designed to share data between devices. Hence, there is a maximum cap of 58 Mbps (maximum supported by "G" specifications) if you are transferring data between WIFI connected devices. 4. People are complaining about switching off from the "button". There is yet another way from brower. Go to Admin page and there is a "Switch Off" button. So you can remote switch off even though the device is not physically next to you. You do have to manually Switch on though!5. Does get "Warm" during operation - make sure that slots for ventilation are clear - if you notice the slots - one is partially blocked another one if completely open. I guess this is done to make sure there is an air pressure differential to allow movement of air.6. No SMS facility is a great disadvantage. If Micromax people are intelligent enough, they can just roll out a firmware which supports this. Otherwise this is a great product with the price option that we have - just Rs 2100

Hi Friends, Thanks a lot for the review about the Micromax MMX 400R mifi router. After reading the review and experiences shared by fellow users I bought one. Here is my experience so far:1. The SD card is not detected some how.. tried 1 GB and also another 6 GB one.. Router works eventhough SD card is not detected.2. It took me lot of pain to figureout how to switchoff the device using the power button, finally i figured it out As lot of people have been complaining about unable to switchoff the device using power button. I tried multiple options and the following option is working for me.1) When the device is in use.. generally the Power Indicator light would be blinking and all other lights would be off2) Now press the power button for 2 seconds3) Now all other 3 lights starts blinking4) Now press power button for 2 seconds and the device would turn off.Please try and let me know if this works for you.Hope this helpsAll the best.- Leela

Dear Friend,As I have bought this Router before 2 months, I am happy with the performance but unaware how to use web file sharing. Eventhough I have enabled the Web sharing option in the Admin page, I am not sure how to share and use with multiple computers. It works fine...only issue I faced was..charging. There is no indication for charge completion.. the power light is blinking in green during charging always...and after removing charger also, it blinks..I could not switch off the router.. and I had to remove the battery for switching off. Any solution for the said issue.?

You can always switch off your router by opening web interface and after login just disconnect and there is switch off button in the right of connect /disconnect button. Have you tried pressing power button for more the 4 seconds, it always works.

Can you please guide me how to use File sharing over the web, since I am struggling for over a month now. And I don't see any useful information in the provided user manual, but I am looking for a detailed one, which even the Micromax people not even responded. If anyone having the detailed user manual or know how to configure the Web File Sharing, please mail me at [email protected].

I really don't know, I dont have sd card intalled in router, but will try it on Sunday(but no guarantee) and update.

Thanks for your Try, and just want to clarity my state that "File sharing over web", I meant was "File Sharing over WiFi".
