Come on seriously I dont think anyone can blame us for making fun off & booing Steve Monkeybutt Ballmar... He laughed off the iPhone (to be fair to him most of the industry did it too) & famously said that Win Mobile is a much better patform than iPhone ever will be... Then 3-4 years later he built the WP7 paltform almost similar to the iOS paltform... Then he laughed off the iPad saying "but its not even a real computer" & 2 years later here we are with the Win RT Surface which is not much diff than a iPad... BTW everyone keeps saying the how surface will do a lot more that iPad... The thing is the Win 8 version(x86) will do a lot more(which is y I am excited about it)and also cost twice as much as an iPad but the Win RTversion(arm) will not be much diff than the iPad... Infact if it does not get massive developer support it will do a lot less than the iPad...

from what i see, microsoft is also offering a real windows 8 tablet. Apple is not. and all metro apps that work on the RT edition would work on windows 8. on desktops, laptops and tablets. this where we have a major difference. we all hate microsoft for forcing metro on the desktop edition of windows. no option to disable it (as of now). the only reason for that is to get more developers to code apps for metro. and that means that their tablet platform would get shit load of apps. because developers are not only targeting the windows 8 tablet users, they get to target the entire windows ecosystem.yes, everyone made ful of apple. michael Dell once said that apple should sell the company and pay back the investors whatever they can. that did not work well for dell. dell is today worth less than the cash apple has in hand right now.

zzz I think this is just speculation based on the fact that the lowest model of the winRT is 32GB(I too had a Xoom 32GB 3G version higher pricing Deja vu
)... But I would really like it if the pro version would be below $799 as mentioned in the article ... BTW if this is true 2 things are gonna happen... 1st Microsoft will have a slow start & secondly it would make more sense to by the pro version as it will technically be only $100 costlier than the RT version... Anyway cant w8 for Oct-Nov... Things are gonna get really exciting
