hey i am looking to get new system, looking for amd build this time ! Budget is under 60k to 70k. Lower the better obviously ! Not interested in spending anything extra if not required !

1. System needs to be super silent its right next to my bed..

2. dont want any fancy lights anything..rgb..

now problem is gen 4 mobo are really expensive and m2 gen 4 are not cheap ! so shall i just get gen 3 mobo with gen 3 m2 ? the current hardware price should fall makes more sense to buy..since sort of increased making buying decision difficult !

Purpose: Normal day to day use but heavy multimedia usage with flash player in chrome, light gaming, not into gaming much, but wanna do in ultra settings this time :p

1. CPU: AMD 3600, around 15k ...was thinking of Zen 3 chip but don't know launch date or probably don't wanna wait !

2. Mobo: : MSI tomahawk max b450, now shall i get this one or is there new mobo coming in next 15days with gen 4 ? around 8k

3. m2 Samsung 960., 500gb gen 3 ? around 10k i am tempted to get a gen 4 m2 too :D

4. GPU: msi 1660 super around 20k but price online at Amazon is currently too high it was around 15k to 19k before lockdown

5. Power: PSU: i have been using seasonic 520w its very silent and good.. so which one is good now and should i get 600w now ? i want super silent and efficient. system will only have one m2 chip, one graphic card, one or 2 external HDD, maybe one internal SSD later if prices fall ! using 4k monitor !

6. i dont know which cabinet.. i dont want fancy lights rgb or anything just excellent airflow and silent fans..

7. ddr4, 16gb.. gskill maybe ? 6k to 7k

1. Ryzen 3600 is great vfm and a beast so that's a good choice.
2. 😂😂😂
3. Gen 4 M.2 SSD's are very expensive and heat up like crazy. So I would not recommend it for anyone currently as big brands like samsung have not launched gen4 ssd.
4. GTX 1660 Super is great choice, look it up in local stores and electronic markets in your city. Amazon is bad place to buy gfx cards.
5. Corsair's ax and hx series PSUs are very quiet and you can also go for cooler master silent series.
6. Antec nx200 is good buy at 2.5k but comes with RGB 😂. You can go for any thing you like as you'll be getting a seperate PSU.
7. Ryzen loves high speed ram as the infinity fabric is linked to ram speed. Any name brand like gskill, corsair etc will work, simply go for whichever name brand which gives you higher capacity with good speed for less money.

your build is perfect for your usage. go for it!

amd refresh of zen 2 is coming up but i dont think it will be worth it. zen 3 will be launching by q4. that will be a major update because as per rumors it will have 8 core ccx. this may drastically improve gaming performance along with 10-15% ipc gains.

for the gpus
nvidia will launch their ampere gpus, built on 7nm,. as per rumors 3060 will offer rtx performance of 2080 or 2080ti. they are most likely doubling rtx cores.

amd will launch their rdna 2 gpus with their own hardware ray tracing solutions.

but then again latest hardware comes at a later date in india and prices are high and your usage is not revolved around gaming. so i dont think it will be worth for you to wait for these new product launches.

Well hardware prices are currently rip off 3600 on Amazon is showing for 17k I probably get it for for 16k locally, mobo is again not cheap even though gen 4 are just around corner, msi 450 max is around 9k, to 13k GPU like rx580/590 on amazon showing for 19k lol and 1660 super from msi at 29k..lol

i think seems more sense to get gen 4 /5mobo, zen3 cpu in next 2 months or so.. price of hardware should cool down too..what u say ?

I heard amd is gonna launch xt cpu too next week too lol
