I am still wondering why moto g does not support micro sd while moto e does guessing a smart business strategy, also to release the phones within a gap of few months and not simultaneously.
Because it increases their costs? Moto G was a gamble which paid off for Motorola. Now that they are in hands of Lenovo, they can experiment with more variants now. Under Google they had to run a tight ship which they did and did a great job at that. I expect they to become more aggressive with new variants in the future.
