Motorola Moto X 2014 Edition

I am really tempted to buy the Moto X this time. But only if they have the 32gb option. Only 16 gb on a flagship phone, which doesn't have any option for expandable storage, is really ridiculous.

Same here. Planning to suggest it to a niece but 16GB version is out of the question.

If Moto X doesn't launch with a 32gb option then I guess it'll be the next Nexus for me. I found the Moto X so compelling this time that I was really considering it over the Nexus.

I am confused, buying this or look for some used Apple iPhone 5s. I prefer the aluminium build quality but this set also got me hooked only if they price it right.

I do not think I can recommend between Moto X or iPhone 5s because these are two different phones powered by two different ecosystems. These phones cannot really be compared with each other.

Price wise, I thimk they fall somewhere in same line. I agree the difference between ios and android but i wait for it's official price.

The only things you need to decide on would be whether you want iOS or Android and what you want in your device. Then the decision is easy.. If having a good camera is important the it is the iPhone but if you want an open OS and ability to customize your device then its the Moto X. Like you said, prices might be in the same bracket.

Right. Both phones should get good support for at least next two years (iPhone might get 3 years of updates but that would probably be worth avoiding).

Yes, I am using the note 2 which I have never rooted and recently I was using the 5c which i sold. I like the IOS because of the ease of use and certainly a lot better build quality than my note2. Only grouch is the small 4 inch screen.

iPhone 5s would offer better performance compared to iPhone 5c. And since you have also used Note 2... The decision is for you to make... What is more important... Ease of use or larger display. As for hardware quality, I am quite sure Motorola Moto X should have much better quality compared to the Samsung Note 2.
