Hi, I recently bought a Laptop having Vista. I know USB drivers for MT882 modem is not available and Ethernet is the only option. But even after connecting Ethernet cable from Laptop to Modem, LAN connection is displaying "Network cable Unplugged" message and LED for Ethernet is not turning on or blinking at all in modem. Please suggest what could be the reason. I tried the same with an older laptop with XP and it is giving the same "Network cable Unplugged" message. Modem is working fine with USB but no driver for Vista.

that could be a LAN cable issue.. make sure your cables are plugged in properly.. try replacing the cable!!

You were correct man..Lan cable was the problem. I replaced it and MT882 modem detected it instantly and I was able to access Internet. Thanks a lot :)
