MTNL Broadband: 2mbps for free on unlimited plans on sundays in April 2011

MTNL haven't posted it as a Ad & even it's posted by TOI in Megacorp section which is too rare.

But datarate of 2048 is quite unusual.

One thing confirms this is not a prank is that upload speed has been increased to 512kbps.

in da article they haven't mentioned about Only Sundays of April so might be every Sunday as stated in article .

14 mbps? i think vodafone 3g 7.2 mbps @ 599 unlimited plan has made mtnl to think to increase speeds

i have to say that MTNL has improved a lot more than BSNL

Confirmed:My Upload speed is now 512 kbps.If MTNL still doesn't have any FUP, other ISP's will have a tough time.

512kbps is not a big deal. airtel gives me 1mbps uploads on my 1mbps connection.

For me, it is. I don't use torrents and download anything. But upload speed jump from 256 to 512 is noticeable while power browsing.

Especially being free upgrade, its welcome.

Oh yes, this is not april fool's joke.My upload speeds increased from 256 to 512.. speedtest giving 0.34 mpbs download and 0.46 mbps upload!

Upload speed will give better torrent speed/ratio, smoother Online game playback (less lag/latency) & boon to email/file hosting attachment upload.

But the main Question here is 2Mbps limited to Sundays of April month or Every Sunday from the day after India Wins the world cup

Mtnl backroom ppls just try some trick to extend it the whole week
