those results are for servers within India. u think ur getting 2Mbps ?? lol try a server outside the country ;P

Guyz Speed test never gives you an accurate picture of actual bandwidth available to You. When I had limited 2mbps plan on BSNL, on speedtest.net I always got like 900kbps, 600 kbps, 1.14 mbps & 1.61 mbps (that was the max) always. Also when I downloaded vie IE/Firefox transfer rate was like 15-28-- sometime 115- 150 KBps & even that 150 KBps were like max for small times. But when I started using Download manager I never got speeds lower than 240 KBps. My downloads were ranging from 240-260 KBps transfer rate. SO the real problem with ur bandwidth is when even Ur Download Manager is also giving crappy speeds !

yep my previous posted screenshot was of Filesonic premium 233kbps but now decreased (50-130kbps) as usual with mtnl with disconnection problem.

------
so again am downloading with torrents !! :happy:

is there bandwidth based on number of people connected??
UPTO/atmost 2mbps??
are we sharing Bandwidth??

& Speedtest.net taking average of speed for few(5-6) seconds===>So low 1.75Mbps (~170kbps download speed or low),
as IDM shows instantaneous speed 233kbps.
& Since in torrent we are connected to number of peers(number of connections) is more than direct download from ftp/http tht's y we are shown greater speed??

Disconnection a plan of mtnl to implement FUP/download cap?
================
Conclusion MTNL's Instantaneous speed is varying alot in a single day & the mean point of the range & range depends on traffic/day time.
