@nickd, did you ask them to?
LoL no! Actually I was planning to reduce to 5mbps if my SNR and stability was bad.
But I guess their engineer tweaked it to 10/1 for me, maybe he knows best. :)

I think 5 to 10 mbit down and 1 to 5 mbit up, should be the standard in mtnl as well as in India for dsl services. It's quite more than enough for every home and home office user. 50, 100 and 1000 mbit is more suitable for servers rather than desktop, laptop and tablet users.
I hope now MTNL increases their dsl plans to 500GB fup at 10 mbit and then 3 or 4 mbit for the rest of the month in their high end home and home office dsl users plan.
Kudos! MTNL is truly, BroadBand ka Badshah! :)

I went through it. I understood what it meant.

It's just that I've been getting terrible speeds and MTNL isn't responding. So I want to post my stats to see if everything is alright. I'm a newbie at all this. What stats is what I'm asking.
type 192.168.0.1 in your browser (typical modem login) and admin/admin may be the typical password.

Damn. I remember it being admin/admin. For some reason I can't access it.

The only way to reset it would be to reset the entire modem, right?

It's a modem cum router but I'm not using another router.

The YouTube problem still exist. So frustrated. You guys can watch Youtube at full HD ?? I am stuck at 360p :pissed-off:
