LoL no! Actually I was planning to reduce to 5mbps if my SNR and stability was bad.
But I guess their engineer tweaked it to 10/1 for me, maybe he knows best.
Had a pleasant surprise, opted for 8mbps plan online. It got changed in a day !!

I think 5 to 10 mbit down and 1 to 5 mbit up, should be the standard in mtnl as well as in India for dsl services. It's quite more than enough for every home and home office user. 50, 100 and 1000 mbit is more suitable for servers rather than desktop, laptop and tablet users.
I hope now MTNL increases their dsl plans to 500GB fup at 10 mbit and then 3 or 4 mbit for the rest of the month in their high end home and home office dsl users plan.
