Nope. Your line most likely be able to handle 8mbps, looking at those stats. What modem do you have?

quite interesting, now I see SNR at 31 for download and 20 for upload, hope it stays this way. based on what I have read so far this is called good signal.

Right, my apologies. The earlier stats weren't good. These are pretty good to switch to 8mbps.

Guys I think i fixed the timeout and youtube issue by setting the MTU to 1492 as mentioned on mtnl website faq, earlier my MTU was 1480 in the modem settings, maybe you guys should try it.
