MTNL Broadband is injecting ads on your computer pretending it's a feature

Yes it is adphonso, this morning around 10 AM.
It first loaded 208.94.243.40 and then displayed this ad on a blank page. You can see that google.com was not loaded. Next I refreshed the page using F5 and then actual google.com was loaded.
I did not check the code, but next time it does this I will check the code too.
I do not use adblock in Chrome (or any other extension). I have them installed in Firefox.

a VPN would fix all the problems ?

so far mtnl has proved to be the best ISP for me , not much downtime and complaints are usually solved quickly.
so should I get a VPN or try tikona the user experiences are really horrible specially getting rid of them is the hardest part

Ok I checked again, I had set it to http:// :(
But for some reason, it still opens the https:// google site. Perhaps because I am logged in to google account.

Google does not offer HTTP to anyone these days. It's SSL for everyone from what I know.
I think based on what he said, he set it to http, which means, there may be option in google somewhere if user wants http instead of https.
