MTNL Broadband: Mtnl Charging Rs3300 at time of registration?

I was registering online for triband unlimited plan 256 during digitally signature i got this information Payment Information Amount to be Received(In Bill): Rs.3300 along with other informationWhat is this rs3300 for?

Dont register online.It must be a bug.If you have an MTNL phone line already,then you will only have to pay what ever is the monthly charge for your plan that would be Around Rs.800.Registration and Insatllation is free till 20th October.If you don't have an MTNL phone line then along with the above mentioned cost,you will have to take an MTNL phone Line which will cost Rs.500 one time installation and then monthly Rs.200.And thats it

i have tel line from feb 2006 then why it asking for 3300rs?

just call 1500 and book it online (i did it 4 days back).. no need to pay even single rupee if u have MTNL line.

Call 1504 if you want broadband.Their site is pretty messed up

i called & booked even i got confirmation call from mtnl she told it will be provided within 1week.
