i million more in waiting list?

Not sure weather they r in waiting list or is the estimated number of connections by next year. but am sure that there would be more than 60,000 customers in the waiting list right now.:)

dude!! MTNL connection is precious, very hard to get hold of it coz its in very high demand..i have been told that there are 60,000 connection pending.:confused:and by next year they r planning to ad about 1 Million more customers....

Sigh! Add another million hapless people to the waiting list :wall:
If MTNL was not enough Reliance is giving me a tough time.. Been 2 weeks since I registered for a new connection and so far I've not received any calls from them. Each time I call their call center, I get informed that my request has been escalated.
Does anyone have the number of Reliance sales?

Dude...never ever go to relience and tata..they will suck the blood out of you after you get connected..they are only looking for returns not service.

MTNL is how most of India works and it is good...no customer care will work for you in India..cos we indians believe in more personal communication...i have not seen a guy..who hasn't visited MTNL office even once and haven't got a better connection.

You have to go to MTNL office and get involved around...ask the lower guys to help you and they will point you the best way...i got my connection in a week...

Buy your own modem....connect on your own..very easy ...instructions in this forum....

all MTNL has to do is put a jumper in your phone line which takes 5 minutes..get hold of the line man in your area and..once he meets you..he will do it for you..no customer care. phone service...without you meeting people in person :) will work.

I can say with assurance that if you visit MTNL office once...you will get the connection within a week without any waiting list..thats a guarantee :yahoo:

City- New Bombay.

Package- DSL 1199, but soon i will change to 800 walla plan.

Cost- Rs.1199 + 80 (Modem rent) + taxes.

Positive points- Good speed overall, if i download about 3 movies then i get 65-70 KBps each that is with some download manager but torrent speed differs a bit.

Very good experience atleast better than Sify for sure.

Negative points- The One and half month to Two month waiting for the Triband to arrive is really annoying. They have too many backlogs. Pathetic customer care. The people on the customer care have no clue about some of the packages.

They should have had a 1 Mbps plan as well.

^ firstly, dont spam all over the forum. you had created a thread and should have stuck to that.anyways, there is no hourly limit for using MTNL triband. it is based on MB usage. however, the 199 plan has a limit of 600 mb per month. after that RS0.80 will be charged per MB. since you want to share pictures, keep in mind that pictures might use up a lot of bandwidth.

City: DelhiPackage: 256 Kb ULCost per Month: 549+75 (Wifi modem rent)Positive Points: Great service, speed is consistent; get what you pay for, happy overallNegative Points: Pathetic customer care, if you get some problems it will take a lot of time to solve, if you want a new connection then you would have to wait a lot.General View: I am happy, hugely better than Sify my previous ISP and very few downtimes.

donno how can they sell 256kbps broadband... why arent mumbaiites asking for more, why aint trai phasing out their old policy, common guys bb should be defined as something >= 2mbps at affordable prices (the later part is understood). a hint for mtnl and all other faggots in their cartel: check out the minimum harddisk sizes at your neighborhood computer hardware wala, i think that should be enuff to explain present day demand for data
