If you are lucky, MTNL might just forget to change the SPEED after the BILLCAP limit exceeds and u can enjoy 2mbps whole month!

There is also the distinct possibility that they'll reduce it to 256 kbps after 10 GB and forget to go back to 2 mbps at the start of the new bill cycle. :)

Yes, but if u complain then they change it back to 2mbps in 2-3 days... but if u r lucky..then 2mbps to 256kbps may not just happen!

i think the odds of this happening are quite high. As such I want to switch to this plan. Called 1500 but apparently its a new plan you you have to visit the closest exchange and drop in an application. They arent doing it over the phone. Anyone tried switching yet. Do post if there is an easier way to make the switch other than visiting the exchange.

If these plans get a good response then MTNL will be tempted to include the uploads in the usage calculations & maybe also start FUP :(

Hmm you could be right, this disease has caught on everywhere :(

^ You can also change plans from the register.mtnl page AFAIK.

But I cant see this plan there :( wakey wakey MTNL

MTNL can never be predicted, never predict their plans nor the upload inclusion in the charges. They always do the opposite the way we think

To tell you the truth, I did not expect that plan would appear in their options so fast. We both know MTNL don't we? :D

Yes MTNL always declares plans first and does database updates after few days.. even CC wud not have any clue.Abt charging for uploads in future, I do not think MTNL wud do that. They already know that they are only ISP which does not charge for uploads, because they specifically mention that in their advertisement.MTNL is leading ISP in Mumbai from years now.. if it can afford to give FREE uploads to date, I dont see any reason they wud not be able to do in future.Till now I have never found MTNL to be greedy.

Very true & they have already capped our upload to 256 kbps, that does affect our DL anyway but to what extent will always be debatable :)
