You had to call customer care for another 150GB? I don't understand. Why?
Because I waited for them to credit another 150 GB in my account but it didn't happen automatically hence had to call CC.When I called the CC the lady on the other end was shocked to know that how come did a such a large amount of data got used up in such short period :playful:

But isn't it unlimited?
Also what speeds/ping do you get with mtnl 3G in Mumbai? And outside Mumbai when you roam?

I have recently recharged with 999 (on 1st Mar 14) and today 100Gbs are consumed ;)
From the above experiences, do I have to contact customer care to increase the FUP post 150 GB? I guess it should happen automatically.

Ohh Mumbai 1650 3G UL Plan gone!! Now only 999 promotional left. dunno if 999 will be the new 1650 plan will have to wait till 22/5 for news. MTNL pls bring 3G UL plans on lower rates than 999...pls

Is there anyone who downloads more than 200gb
yes thats why we take unlimited plan. you can do more than 500 gb if you want to in a months time.
MTNL hai toh SAHi hai :OK: :OK: :OK:

So BSNL upgraded their BTS at my place from 1G to 3G directly kind of. (yeah this site was running on 1G GPRS specs @57.6 kbps not even EDGE for so many years, finally they come to some senses.).As a result now the BTS is giving EDGE (236 kbps) and some real nice HSPA+ signal (21mbps).

Hence decided to give up my old MTNL Delhi sim which was lying idle & collecting dust, some running up & did a test recharge. And got some real nice speeds (3-4mbps). After some hesitation finally did the 1650 recharge to test for a month. So got 200 GB data credited (should be enough for a month hopefully).

Since my place is almost a km from the BTS, hence the coverage is really patchy on ground floor only get 2-3 bars max. Finally found some sweet spots where the signal on the phone 3 bars (-99 dBm) yet I'm getting a consistent 8 mbps (1 MBps transfer), even with 2 bars on the speed is 6-7 mbps & 4 mbps with 1 signal bar.

A friend has a spare dongle he isn't using currently(yup don't wanna fuck up my phone's battery), will get the dongle to continue testing uptime & speed consistency just so as it doesn't turnout to be a headache. Of course the landline broadband is always gonna be there for the tasks for which stability is the requirement.

Since there is no other alternative at my place except BSNL broadband (no reliance or cable isp), hopefully this will be the salvation. Also if anyone else in Delhi currently using this plan confirm whether they re-credit the 200 GB cap or not if one has used it up, else probably gonna find out in next 3 weeks?
